New Delhi:With the Modi government completing 100 days of its second term, union ministers are on the enlightening exercise about the achievements of the government in their respective parliamentary constituency.
On the topic of recession and employment Santosh Kumar Gangwar, the MoS (Independent Charge), Ministry of Labour and Employment said that it is a cyclic and the country is least affected by it and the opportunities for the job are not decreasing.
"There is an increase in the number of employment in the country but in the current scenario we are observing that there are certain difficulties in some sectors especially in the auto industry. But I don't think it an issue for us."
"We have a problem here.. we keep records of only those units which employ more than twenty people and these are recorded by the provident fund organisation. While, units employing more than 10 people are recorded under the ESI. Both these types of organisations, together, constitute only 5 per cent of the total labour force and the rest of 95% of the labour force is in those units having less than 10 employees. In all, around 50 crore employed in the country", the minister said.
