New Delhi: In PM Narendra Modi's niece purse-snatching case, the lawyer of accused revealed in the court that the prime accuse Gaurav is a minor. To prove this, some evidence is also been submitted in the court. When this fact comes before the court, he has been sent to the child improvement home.
Court has also ordered the police to investigate the matter regarding this.
The incident took place outside the Gujarati Samaj Bhawan where two miscreants snatched PM Narendra Modi's niece Damyanti Ben Modi’s purse while she was getting out of an auto-rickshaw.
The bag had all her important documents including Rs 50,000 cash, two mobile phones, debit and credit cards. Damyanti Ben had returned from Amritsar and was heading towards Civil Lines from Old Delhi Railway Station.
Realising the graveness of the matter, Delhi Police soon deployed 700 policemen and finally caught the culprits. The police arrested Gaurav, alias Nonu, from Sonipat where he was hiding at a relative’s home.
