Minor girl raped in UP

A six-year-old girl who was sleeping in her house was allegedly abducted and raped by an unidentified person in Azamgarh, UP. She was found lying unconscious on the roadside by the villagers who then informed the police.

Azamgarh (UP): A minor girl was allegedly raped after being abducted from her house here, police said on Saturday.

The six-year-old girl was sleeping in her house when she was allegedly abducted by an unidentified person who raped her, they said.

The incident took place Friday night under the Jiyanpur Kotwali police station area, police said.

The girl was found lying in an unconscious state on the roadside Saturday morning by the villagers who informed police, they said.

The victim has been admitted to a hospital and investigation is on, Deputy Inspector General, Azamgarh range, Subhash Chand Dubey said.
