Minor girl ends life after being raped by man, boy: Cops

A minor girl committed suicide a day after she was gang-raped by two persons, including a minor boy, in Warangal district of Telangana. The girl, who stays at her grandmother's house, narrated the incident to the family members and later hanged herself.

Hyderabad:A 15-year-old girl on Sunday allegedly committed suicide a day after she was raped by two people, including a minor boy, in Warangal district.

"The girl, a ninth standard student, was taken by two people, a 20-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy, on a bike from her house to a nearby mandal on Saturday and was allegedly raped. Later, she was dropped at her residence," police said.

"The girl, who stays at her grandmother's house, narrated the incident to the family members and later hanged herself at the house," a senior police official told reporter over phone.

Police registered a case against the two under IPC sections 376 (rape), 306 (abetment to suicide) and relevant provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
