Bharatpur (Rajasthan): A migrant worker in Rajasthan's Bharatpur had yoked himself to a cart so that his family wouldn't have to walk in this scorching heat as they made their way home.

The worker has been identified as Sanjay Nat, a resident of Nagla Tangad village in Uttar Pradesh. The video of Sanjay pulling the cart with another ox on the yoke went viral

With jobs vanishing, his family was on the verge of starvation, he said. Out of options, they decided to return to their home in Nagla Tangad in Uttar Pradesh.

Sanjay said, "Instead of sitting on the road with the family, I thought it will be good to go back to his village. I brought a cart after selling the gold ring of my wife but there was no money to buy a pair of bulls. In this situation, with the help of people, I caught a stray ox and caught and yoked to this cart.

Sanjay, who arrived in Bharatpur with his luggage and family in the cart, told that the stray bull never carried the load of the cart. So Sanjay had yoked himself to the cart withholding the bull.

Reportedly, several migrant workers like Sanjay stranded across the country due to the nationwide lockdown, have been walking hundreds of kilometres to reach home. Many of them have died on the way from exhaustion, while some have been killed in accidents.
