New Delhi:Chinese state media 'Global Times' on Thursday evening published a report which said that according to experts, the meeting between S Jaishankar and Chinese Foreign Minister could be last chance for the resolution of the conflict between India and China.
As the most crucial bilateral meeting between India’s External minister S Jaishankar and Chinese Foreign ministry Wang Yi is still underway at Moscow on the sidelines of the SCO foreign ministers meeting, amid an attempt to move towards a solution for the LAC border conflict between the two nations, all eyes are on the outcome of the meeting.
The meeting comes in the backdrop of the continuous confrontation between India and China over the border standoff at Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Ladakh.
“If the meetings fail to reach a positive result or if the two sides cannot execute the agreement of the front line, this could be a dangerous signal that China and India are unlikely to solve the crisis peacefully, analysts said “, mentions the report.
“A meeting between Chinese and Indian foreign ministers would be significant for two countries to solve border tensions, and with Russia's mediation, the two SCO members are likely to reach agreement in Moscow to de-escalate tensions”, experts said as stated by the global time's report.
