Uttar Pradesh police arrested a man from Lucknow’s Hazratganj for allegedly sending a message in which he threatened to kill Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath over the arrest of Mukhtar Ansari.

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh police on Saturday arrested a man for allegedly sending threatening messages to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on the police emergency WhatsApp number 112 in Lucknow.

Amarpal, a resident of Etah sent abusive messages on September 23 to Yogi Adityanath and threatened to kill him.

While talking to ETV Bharat SHO Hazratganj Anjani Kumar Pandey said, " After receiving the information our team arrested Amarpal from Hazrahganj and sent him to jail."

In the message, Amarpal wanted the chief minister to release Mukhtar Ansari from jail or else he will kill him.
