TN: Man attacks manager for refusing to sanction loan

A man was arrested in Coimbatore city for assaulting a bank chief manager and a tout who refused to sanction the loan. CCTV footage shows that he had assaulted and threatened them on gunpoint. He was booked under various sections of the IPC

Coimbatore:A man in Coimbatore attacked the manager of the Canara bank for not approving his loan of Rs 3 lakh.

The accused identified as Vetrivelan entered the room of the manager with a gun wrapped in paper and attacked the middleman Gunabalan who had promised him to get the loan approval done.

Manager Chandrasekar who managed to grab the gun from Vetrivelan suffered knife stabs.

Other bank employees who intervened also suffered minor injuries

Based on the manager's complaint Race Course Police station have arrested Vetrivelan and booked him under various sections of IPC.

CCTV visuals of the attack have been released which shows the accused attacking the manager and other people.
