Mumbai cab driver found dead in Gujarat hotel

The body of a 43-year-old driver was found in a room at PM Regency hotel Vadodara in mysterious circumstances. Evidence collected at the scene has been sent for forensic investigation.

Ahmedabad (Gujarat): A 43-year-old Mumbai-based taxi driver was found dead in a private hotel in Gujarat's Vadodra. He was a resident of Parvati Gaon of Pune and was working for a private travel agency.

The body of the driver was found from a room of PM Regency hotel of Sayajiganj area of Vadodara in mysterious circumstances leading to wide speculations. The police have sent samples from the spot to the forensic science laboratory for further investigation.

According to information, the 43-year-old taxi driver from Pune Santoshbhai Raghunath Bheens had brought an officer of a private company to Por. For his stay, a room was booked in PM Residency hotel in Sayajiganj area. He is reported to have told the hotel staff late in the night that was extremely tired and hence he should not be disturbed. Since there was no response on his phone, his personal details were found from the customer’s application form.

After customer’s complaint, driver’s death was discovered

The next day, the customer called Santoshbhai several times but the phone was not answered. Following which the customer reached Sayajiganj area with the help of the customer’s location. He then filed a missing person report with the police headquarters. Finally, the police tracked down the body of Santoshbhai to the room No 306 of PM Regency hotel. Blood was found from his mouth. Police have sent samples of blood and Thumsup found lying near the body to the forensic science laboratory. The body has been sent for post mortem.
