Mumbai: Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray on Wednesday met his alliance partners at his official residence Varsha Bungalow, amid rumours of rift in the state government. NCP leader Sharad Pawar had earlier accused Uddhav Thackeray of mishandling the covid-19 crisis the state as numbers of coronavirus cases continue to soar.
The discussion on the ongoing lockdown and the decision of lifting it in some areas were on the agenda list of this meeting.
Amid reports of friction in the Maha Vikas Aghadi in Maharashtra, state Assembly Speaker Nana Patole on Wednesday said there is no such "emergency" or "political situation" and "that the situation in Maharashtra is not against the current government".
