Ernakulam: The heavy wind and waves still brewing in Lakshadweep by the Maha super storm formed in the Arabian sea. Relief camps are opened in Kavarathi North school and people have been evacuated from vulnerable areas of the Island.

About 33 places in the state and the Union Territory received heavy rains while there were very heavy rains in four locations.
All boats including freight ships from Kerala has closed for transportation until Sunday and three cargos which were departed from Beppur were halted without dropping anchor.
All educational institutions in Lakshadweep remain closed and the northern islands are on forewarn by the hurricane. Authorities have taken necessary precautions and procedures across the land.
