LJP wants to contest on six seats in Jharkhand elections

Virendra Pradhan, LJP Jharkhand chief, says his party would contest Jharkhand elections along with the NDA but wants six seats to fight independently.

New Delhi: Newly appointed chief of Lok Janshakti Party's Jharkhand unit Virendra Pradhan on Wednesday expressed confidence that his party would get six assembly seats to contest from in the upcoming state elections.

Speaking to ETV Bharat, he said the LJP was fully prepared for the elections in Jharkhand due later this year.

On being asked if the NDA would allow to contest from six assembly seats, he said the issue was being handled by the top leadership of the party and he sees no reason of not getting these many seats to fight elections from.

"We have been working to strengthen the NDA in the state. We have also fought Lok Sabha elections with the NDA and there's no reason it would not allow us to have six seats for the polls," he said.

He also expressed hope NDA to win the elections.
