Jammu and Kashmir: Lieutenant Governor Girish Chandra Murmu on Thursday launched the 'Student Health Card' in Jammu as a part of the government's comprehensive school health education plan to ensure better healthcare for school children.
In these Students Health Cards, all government schools will maintain proper health records of enrolled students. The information will include the immunisation record of a child, bi-annual examination of a child, deficiency diseases and developmental delays, head to toe for 4Ds to find out defects at birth, a checklist of all commonly existing disorders among children and their preliminary diagnostic tools.
The distribution of health cards and the first check-up will be completed by mid-May.
