Raipur(Chhattisgarh): Vice President Venkaiah Naidu offered his condolences to the family of former Chhattisgarh CM Ajit Jogi on his demise.
"Saddened by the demise of Shri Ajit Jogi, the first Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh and a former Member of Parliament. My condolences to the bereaved family. May his soul rest in peace," he wrote on his Twitter handle.
Former CM Ajit Jogi passed away on Friday after suffering a massive cardiac arrest. He had slipped into coma on May 9 after his health declined.
Jogi was admitted to Shree Narayana Hospital on May 9. A bureaucrat-turned politician is currently the MLA from Marwahi and had served as the state's first CM between 2000-03 in then Congress Government.
