New Delhi:With campaigning for the February 8 Delhi polls reaching a crescendo, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's wife and daughter opened up about their role as a support system for the AAP supremo, and how the people were responding to the party's work over the past five years.
Speaking exclusively to ETV Bharat, Arvind Kejriwal's wife Sunita and daughter Harshita, who have been extensively campaigning for the Chief Minister in his constituency of New Delhi, gave an insight into their "back front" work.
Sunita, who took voluntary retirement from service in order to support the family with Arvind Kejriwal being busy with the Chief Minister's post, said that the latter has become busier and the increased stress load has been taking a toll on his health.
Harshita, who has taken a long leave from her job to campaign for her father, said that the response from the people on the ground has been positive, as all the policies of the AAP government had universal appeal and covered all sections of the society.
She said that even though a lot of departments do not come under the state government, the party has still been proactive in working to resolve issues like women's security. For the first time there has been actual work and not just talk, she added.
