Chandigarh: The Congress leaders on Wednesday castigated Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for branding the bills passed by the Punjab Vidhan Sabha as ‘Drama’ and said that this act of Kejriwal has once again proved that he is not even remotely concerned about Punjab or its interests.
In a press communique, the Cabinet Minister S. Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa and MLAs Darshan Singh Brar, Kulbir Singh Zira, Barindermeet Singh Pahra and Pritam Singh Kotbhai said that Kejriwal himself despite being a Chief Minister of the State is oblivious of the fact that agriculture is a State Subject and the states have every right to frame laws regarding the subject. They also said that Kejriwal has insulted the Punjab Vidhan Sabha.
The Congress leaders were reacting to a tweet by Kejriwas in which he labelled as Drama the bills passed by the State Vidhan Sabha.
The criticism of the unanimous decision of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha by Kejriwal has made it clear that the Punjab unit of AAP is a mere puppet in the hands of Delhi leaders. Yesterday, the same party supported the bills and were part of the delegation that met the Governor. Now, with a cue from Delhi leadership, the leader of opposition also took a u-turn.
