New Delhi: Former MP from Patiala and spokesman of the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD), Prem Singh Chandumajra has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi seeking help from the government after 27 worshippers,including women and children were killed in a gruesome attack on Gurudwara in the heart of Kabul. Expressing grief over the incident, Chandumajra has appealed to PM Modi to ensure safety of the minority community.
"I request PM Modi to talk to the Prime Minister of Afghanistan Ashraf Ghani regarding the attack that targeted the Sikh community in Kabul. It should be ensured that people who were injured in the incident should receive proper treatment with adequate medical facilities",read the letter.
Condemning the brutal attack which was planned by gunmen and suicide bombers, External affairs Minister S Jaishankar has ensured all possible help to help the targeted victims. Taking it to twitter, Jaishankar had earlier said that Indian Embassy Kabul is in continuous touch with the families of those killed and injured.
