JNU student argues with guard, warns him of spreading corona

In a viral video, a JNU student was seen sitting near the hostel gate and arguing with the guard for moving out of the hostel amid the nationwide lockdown. He also warned him that he will cough and spread coronavirus.

New Delhi: As the nation is under complete lockdown to contain the spread of novel coronavirus, a weird incident was reported from Jawaharlal Nehru University where a student was seen sitting near the hostel gate and arguing with the guard for moving out of the hostel.

"I have written permission to move out of campus, I will not move from here at any cost, you want to move me than come touch me. I will cough on you, I will spread corona," the student is seen saying in the viral video.

The guards argued that the letter lacked stamp of the hostel warden and hence could not be verified for authenticity.

"How can I accept this letter, what is the credibility of letter without a stamp," the guard said as he tried to convenience the student to go back to campus.

The student has now claimed that he was "beaten black and blue by the guards" and referred to AIIMS trauma centre.

JNUSU president Aishe Gosh tweeted after the incident

"Rather than esuring safety and facilities to students staying back at campus, JNU security is beating up students. The student is presently at the Trauma Center," JNUSU president Aishe Gosh tweeted after the incident.
