Jharkhand Cong threatens to protest if Centre doesn't cooperate with state

Speaking to ETV Bharat, Congress Rajya Sabha MP from Jharkhand Dheeraj Sahu said the central government is trying to weaken the Jharkhand government as part of a well-thought strategy. He also said that the party will hold a protest in the entire state if the Centre does not cooperate with the Jharkhand government.

New Delhi:Hailing Union Home Minister Amit Shah's assurance to the state's Chief Minister that the central government will provide all possible help, Congress Rajya Sabha member from Jharkhand Dheeraj Sahu said the party will hold a protest in the entire state if the Centre does not cooperate.

Speaking to ETV Bharat, Sahu further said the central government is trying to weaken the Jharkhand government as part of a well-thought strategy.

"Jharkhand is not getting the funds that the states are entitled to get from the central government. The central government has not released the fund meant for the state. The central government's stance on the due amount of Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) is also very wrong. The Centre has continuously overlooked the state," he alleged.

He said that the central government is overlooking Jharkhand just because a non-NDA government is in the power in the state.

He further said that the BJP's "Operation Lotus" will not be able to breach Mahagathbandhan in the state as the coalition is intact and it will successfully complete its tenure.

Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren had on Monday called on Home Minister Shah where the former was assured all kinds of help from the central government.
