New Delhi: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Saturday called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the national capital at his residence and discussed the state-related issues.
According to a Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) leader, the first meeting between Soren with Modi was a courtesy call after he was sworn in as the Chief Minister of the state on December 29.
He said the two leaders discussed the state-specific issues at the meeting held at Modi's residence here.
Jharkhand CM demanded PM Modi to appoint more IAS officer in the state so that the state can be fruitful for the economy.
Soren told reporters here that he will return to Jharkhand this afternoon, he wished his father Sibu Soren and JMM Chief Babulal Marandi on their birthday today.
