New Delhi:Terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) chief Masood Azhar has been released from the protective custody of Pakistan according to intelligence inputs.
Amid high tensions between India and Pakistan after the abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, designated terrorist Azhar has been released to plan terrorist operations, sources said.
The Indian authorities have also dismissed reports suggesting that Jaish-e-Mohammad chief was ever lodged in Pakistan jail.
According to sources, Azhar has been lying low and evading public appearances. His last location was at the Markaz Subhanallah, the JeM headquarters in Bahawalpur, that also houses Azhar's residence.
