JCC chief Ajit Jogi to contest from Korba constituency?

Janta Congress Chhattisgarh (JCC) chief Ajit Jogi is likely to contest from Korba constituency in Chhattisgarh. He said that people want him to contest from Korba but the decision is yet to be taken by the party's core committee.

Raipur: Moving ahead with the anticipated coalition partner Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), Janta Congress Chhattisgarh (JCC) supremo Ajit Jogi is likely to contest in upcoming Lok Sabha elections from Korba constituency in Chhattisgarh.

Replying about his candidature in upcoming Lok Sabha elections, he said, "There was a meeting of party's core committee to decide about the coalition with the BSP but the decision has not been taken yet..there will be another meeting in which matter of coalition and strategy for the elections will be discussed."

"Many people want me to contest from Korba but this is to be decided by party's core committee. There is possibility of me to contest from here but the final decision is yet to be taken," he added.

Meanwhile, Bhartiya Janta Party is protesting against the Chhattisgarh government order to appoint Korba's incharge minister as the District Mineral Fund (DMF) chief. Reacting to this appointment, Jogi said, " There is nothing wrong in this appointment as Congress has the full majority to take decisions."
