Srinagar: Amid rising unemployment of educated youth in Jammu and Kashmir, the Lieutenant Governor of the UT Manoj Sinha has announced that the government is filling up 25,000 vacancies in different departments to address the growing unemployment.
“A Comprehensive Plan has been designed for filling up of 25,000 vacancies with 10,000 posts already advertised. The JK Government is also working on fulfilling the assurance of 50,000 jobs given by the Hon’ble Prime Minister @narendramodi (sic),” Sinha tweeted.
He said that recruitment rallies shall also be conducted across the UT for Central Armed Police Force, Paramilitary Forces and JKP. The LG said that the announcement is part of the filing of 500000 job vacancies as promised by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The administration has in recent months announced filing up of 8000 vacant Class III and IV posts and more than 1800 Account Assistants for Panchayat houses in the UT.
