J&K: Three held with poppy straw, Rs 3.22 lakh cash

Jammu and Kashmir police have seized 275 Kg of poppy straw along with cash over Rs 3 lakh in Kathua. Three people have been arrested in connection with the case.

Kathua:Three people were arrested during a raid and 275-kilogram of poppy straw was recovered along with over Rs 3 lakh in cash on Monday.

R Singh, SDPO Border said, "During regular checking, 55 kg poppy straw was recovered from a car. Upon investigation, a raid was conducted in the area and another 220 kg poppy straw along with ₹ 3,22,260 was recovered."
