New Delhi:Centre on Tuesday said Jamat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh is using Madrasas in Burdwan and Murshidabad of West Bengal for radicalisation and recruitment activities.
"There are some inputs of Jamat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh have been using Madrasas in Burdwan and Murshidabad of West Bengal for radicalization and recruitment activities. Relevant inputs in this regard are regularly shared with the state government and agencies concerned," said Minister of State for Home G Kishan Reddy in the Parliament.
He said that the West Bengal government has been asked to take appropriate action.
He further said that government has notified Jamat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh or Jamat-ul-Mujahideen India and all its manifestations as a terrorist organisation in April in terms of Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967.
