KCR lambasts both BJP and Congress

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Monday alleged the two dynastic parties spoke as if they were not responsible for the prevailing situation of the country despite ruling India for the longest period.

Is it not Cong and BJP who ruled country for long: Rao

Hyderabad: Hitting out at the Congress and the BJP, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Monday alleged the two parties of talking as if someone else was responsible for the problems in the country and not them who have been ruling the country for quite sometime now.

Is it not Cong and BJP who ruled the country for long: Rao

"You are listening (to) Rahul Gandhi, Narendra Modi...One says you are 'chor' (thief). Other says, no, I am not...Why are they fighting...we have to get confused. This is nothing but a trick to mislead the people. Who ruled this country? It is Congress and BJP," Rao said.

"Did anyone else rule? For a short time, others were there. They (Congress and BJP) did not let them live," saidKCR

"As if someone else ruled the country as if someone else is responsible, they indulge in a war of words and we have to vote for one of them like buffoons," he said, addressing an election meeting at Godavarikhani.

"What would change if people voted out Modi and elected Gandhi?" Rao asked.

"Only the names of schemes will change from being Deendayal Upadhyaya (BJP ideologue) to Jawaharlal Nehru," he claimed.

Rao also alleged he was being threatened by political rivals while speaking for the country.

Observing that separate Telangana became a reality with his efforts and people's support, Rao claimed a change is needed in the country.

"There is wealth in this country. Resources have been given by the gods. But, those who do not have the intelligence to use them, are ruling this country," he said.

Referring to the Modi's attack, Rao, at a public meeting in Telangana said that he recently consulted astrologers and asked: "Is this what those running the country should be speaking?"

Talking about poverty, agriculture, farmers, workers, and their problems, Rao said that these parties must engage in solving issues, rather than engaging in the war of words

Claiming that neither Congress nor the BJP was going to get a majority, he said, "It is an alliance of regional parties that will rule the country."

Following his dig at the two parties, Rao appealed to make TRS win 16 Lok Sabha seats so that he can fight for the country's good to the best of his ability.
