New Delhi: Domestic air traffic rise by 33.67 per cent month-on-month in October as Indian airlines carried 52.71 lakh passengers in the previous month, compared to 39.43 lakh in September, according to data released by Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).
The DGCA data showed that private airline SpiceJet had the maximum passenger load with an occupancy rate of 74.0 per cent in October. IndiGo had a load of 68.2 per cent, Vistara had 65.2 per cent and Air India had a passenger load of 62.1 per cent.
Among all airlines, Indigo had the highest market share, accounting for 55.5 per cent of the passengers carried during October, followed by SpiceJet with 13.4 per cent and state-owned Air India with 9.4 per cent, DGCA data showed.
