Jabalpur: Union Minister for Culture and Tourism Prahlad Singh Patel on Monday said there hasn't been any adverse impact of the current economic slowdown on the country's tourism industry, and the the year of 2020 would be dedicated to the local tourists, while the following year would focus on international tourists.

The year of 2020 to be dedicated to the local tourists, says Union Minister for Culture and Tourism Prahlad Singh Patel. He is also of the view that tourism industry of the country hasn't been affected by the current economic slowdown.
Interacting with media persons after inspecting Kalaniketan polytechnic college here, the Minister said tourist spot Bhedaghat in Madhya Pradesh would play a major role. He said Bhedaghat, keeping in mind its importance, should have to made it to the list of UNESCO World Heritage Site by now.
Talking about the newly amended citizenship law, Patel said Congress and other opposition parties were "misleading" people on the issue and anyone who does so was not doing any favour to the country.
