New Delhi: Newly appointed Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said Indian economy will become 3 trillion in the current year while presenting the first General Budget of the second term of the Narendra Modi government on Friday.
"It took us over 55 years to reach $1 trillion dollar economy. But when the hearts are filled with hope, trust & aspiration, we in just 5 years, added $1 trillions," Sitharaman said.
Speaking on the occassion, Sitharaman said the government provided rejuvenated centre-state dynamic, cooperative federalism, GST Council and a strident commitment to fiscal discipline and set the ball rolling for New India.
