Further stating he said that to end tuberculosis by 2025 India is prioritising TB by investing 2 billion USD apart from 100 million USD under Nikshay Poshna Yojna.
"As resolved by the honourable prime minister at the TB summit,2018 in New Delhi, the country is galvanizing all efforts to end TB by 2025, ahead of SDG target", said Nadda.
Highlighting the health ministry achievements in AIDS and Malaria, Nadda said that the government aims ensure that by 2024 95% of HIV positive people know their status, 95% of the aware ones are on treatment and 95% of those undergoing treatment experience effective viral load suppression.
Talking about the WHO world Malaria report he said, " Among the high burden countries, only India showed substantial decline in disease burden with a 24% drop in cases.India is on course to meet the goal of ending malaria by 2030."
Ashwani Kumar Chaubey, MoS for Health, reiterated the government's commitment and said that India is committed to fight these diseases
The ministry of Health and Family welfare hosted the conference on 6th Global Fund Replenishment Preparatory meeting. For the first a recieptant country hosted the conference. JP Nadda, Ashwan Chaubey and VK Kaul from Niti Ayog attended the conference.
