New Delhi: India on Wednesday registered the highest single-day recoveries of 56,110 cases with a total percentage of 70.38. The country also witnessed the highest ever single-day tests of 7,33,449 patients. Health Ministry statistics said that India's total recovery has crossed the 16 lakh mark to 16,39,599 further widening the gap between recovered and active cases to nearly 10 lakh.
India's actual caseload of COVID-19 cases now stands at 6,43,948 which is 27.64 per cent of the total positive cases.
Significantly, focus on improved and effective clinical treatment in hospitals, use of non-invasive, improved and coordinated services of the ambulances for ferrying patients for prompt and timely treatment have resulted in seamless efficient patient management of COVID19 patients.
"As a result, the case fatality rate (CFR) has been low when compared to the global average. India's CFR at present is 1.98 per cent," Health Ministry statistics said.
