The 12th anniversary of the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks will be observed today, with the Mumbai police organising an event to pay homage to the martyred security personnel.
The event will be attended by only a limited number of people in view of the pandemic, an official said.
The ceremony will be held at the newly-built memorial at the police headquarters in South Mumbai. It will be attended by the family members of the martyred police and security personnel, the official said.

The Tamil Nadu government has announced a public holiday under the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881, in 16 districts considering the impact of cyclone Nivar.
A notification issued by Chief Secretary K. Shanmugam declared a public holiday for Thanjavur, Tiruvarur, Tiruvannamalai, Cuddalore, Kancheepuram, Chennai, Chengalpattu, Tiruvallur, Ariyalur, Perambalur, Kallakurichi, Villupuram, Tirupathur, Vellore, Ranipet and Nagapattinam (including Mayiladuthurai) districts.

Hence, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has issued an advisory as a precautionary measure. According to the DMRC, the Delhi Metro services will be disrupted at some selected station across all its lines till 2 PM.

Several high reaches of Himachal Pradesh received fresh snowfall on Wednesday, the meteorological department said. Since it is expected to continue in the next 24 hours, the met office has issued a yellow alert for today.
Extreme cold is forcing residents to stay indoors for the most part. At -2.7 degrees Celsius, Keylong was the coldest place in Himachal, followed by Kalpa at -1.6 degrees Celsius.
