1. Sardar Patel COVID Centre to be operational from today

Sardar Patel COVID Care Centre

The 10,000-bed Sardar Patel COVID Care Centre at Radha Soami Satsang Beas at Chattarpur in south Delhi will become operational today. The COVID-19 centre was developed under the Union Home Ministry's supervision to meet the beds shortage amid the rise in number of novel coronavirus cases in Delhi.

The operation of this centre, including the availability of adequate medical personnel, has been entrusted to the central armed police forces, led by the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP). It is set to become the largest COVID-19 care facility in India.

Vice President Venkaiah Naidu will launch the first Indian Social media super app 'Elyments' in the presence of Art of Living founder Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. More than 1000 IT professionals have come together to create the homegrown Elyments app.

3. Third penumbral lunar eclipse today

Third penumbral lunar eclipse today

The penumbral lunar eclipse will start at around 8.37 am today and will go on till 11.22 am. The maximum eclipse will be at 9:59 am. It will last for approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes. However, it will not be visible from India as it is taking place during the day time.
