IB issues alert on possible terror attack

Circulating a picture of a suspected terrorist 'Zaaki', the IB has sounded an alert in five states of the country about suspected terror attacks after the modification of Article 370 in J&K.

New Delhi:The Intelligence Bureau (IB) has circulated a photo of a suspected Pakistani-Afghani terrorist "Zaaki", believed to have sneaked into India with the sole motive of creating terror.

Being aware of any possible terror attacks after the scrapping of Article 370, the central intelligence agencies have already been on alert.

A maximum alert has been sounded especially in Gujarat, Maharastra, Rajasthan, Delhi and Karnataka following an IB report over the intrusion of four suspected Afghanis who were holding an Afghani passport.

According to sources, "A photo of the suspected leader of the group has been released to all state police headquarters."

The suspected leader of the group 'Zaaki' is believed to be from the Kunar region of Afghanistan. The person is suspected to have his origin in Pakistan.

Instructions have also been issued to keep strict monitoring on the Afghani populated areas.

The National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval also briefed Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday about the precautions being taken to avert any possible terror attack.
