Gujarat: After filing an application of complaint against Gujarat cadre IAS officer Guarav Dahiya, accusing him of bigamy and cheating which resulted in the bureaucrat's suspension, the woman who claims to be Dahiya's 'second wife' reached Gujarat on Tuesday to file an FIR against him.

Speaking to ETV Bharat, the woman said, "I am here (Gujarat) to file an FIR against him and I have come to fight for my daughter's legal rights. I am also planning to visit the women's wing of the state police and file a petition in the High Court seeking a DNA test to be conducted on my daughter to prove that she is his daughter."

"If he knows that he is speaking the truth then why to shy away from a DNA test," added the woman.

On Gaurav Dahiya accusing the woman of blackmailing him and submitting an application in a police station, she said, "He submitted this complaint only after I filed an FIR. Why did he wait for me to file my complaint to claim that I am blackmailing him. You tell me, if someone is blackmailing you would you buy that person a house in a posh area of Delhi?"

When asked about the promises made to him by Dahiya, the woman said, "He had made several promises, he had assured me that he would fix everything after the birth of our daughter. He said that he will take us both to Gandhinagar (Dahiya's residence in Gujarat) after his divorce. But, these were all unfulfilled promises. He is a pathological liar."

"I want justice that's why I have come here. FIR must be registered, it is my right. He has been suspended already, the enquiry committee that suspended him must have found something against him that they decided to seek his suspension, " added the woman.

The Gujarat government had earlier suspended a senior Dahiya after receiving the woman's complaint.

The suspended IAS officer will now face disciplinary action in connection the charges against him.

Last month, Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani had formed a committee to probe the Delhi-based woman's complaint against the IAS officer.

Dahiya appeared before the probe panel twice and claimed that he was being framed by the woman. The police had also conducted a separate probe after the woman's complaint.
