Hyderabad: Chandrakant Dodpalli, a youth who appeared for his class 12 exam is trying to bring awareness against rape by touring on a cycle across the country.
Also known as Chandu, this youth has completed 4,800 km tour in four states so far.
Chandrakant wants to record his name for record in Guinness Book Of World Record by touring 30,000 km on cycle in just 210 days. He is attempting to bring awareness against a social problem like rape with this tour.
He has reached Rajkot in Gujarat so far.
He got good support from Radiance Club’s Amitbhai Tank and Paragbhai Tanna in Rajkot.
"When my cycle tour reached Morbi, Jilesh Kalariya, president of Bharatiya Kisan Sangh welcomed me and appreciated my unique pledge", he said.
Chandrakant Dodpalli, a youth from Hyderabad, has appeared for his class 12 exam.
This youth on cycle tour told that people of Gujarat are very friendly.
"My pockets are empty when I am on a cycle tour but after entering in Gujarat, I haven't slept on the road as Gujarati people have provided me with all necessary facilities", he added.
The youth who reached Morbi said that he dreams to work as a photographer in National Geographic.
He wants to join National Geographic after completing journalism.
