HP: Snowfall in Kufri, tourists enjoying the snowfall

The popular hill town of Kufri in Himachal Pradesh has been witnessing a surge in tourist footfalls following heavy snowfall in the Himalayan state. The whole place has been covered in a white blanket which looks mesmerising.

Kurfi:The weather has started to change on the hilly areas in Himachal with Kurfi receiving the snowfall. It has been snowing since Thursday morning in Kurfi - a popular tourist destination. The place has received about four inches of snow and it is still snowing in the area.

The whole place has been covered in a white blanket which looks mesmerising. Tourists from far and near have started thronging the place to enjoy the snowfall.

The Meteorological Department had already issued a Yellow Alert for two days of snowfall.

Tourists thronging the place said that they had come to enjoy the snowfall and when they received the news about snowfall in Kurfi, they could no longer stay back. They further said that they are enjoying the snowfall and are happy about visiting Kurfi.

Tourists also said that Kufri in the snow looks no less than a Paradise and their desire to see the snow has also been fulfilled.

However, troubles also increased after the snowfall. The freezing of snow on the roads has made them slippery. Vehicular movement has also stopped in Narkanda due to the snowfall.

The district administration has also instructed people not to go to the upper areas.
