Hope that final verdict on Ram temple will come soon: Maurya

New Delhi:The Supreme Court on Friday ordered day-to-day hearing from August 6 of the politically sensitive Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid land dispute case after noting that the mediation proceedings to resolve the dispute amicably have failed.

A five-judge Constitution bench of the Supreme Court will hear the matter on a daily basis.

Speaking to ETV Bharat on this issue, Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister, Keshav Maurya said that the matter of Ram temple is now picking up the pace and it is expected that the court will soon give a decision in the day-to-day ruling.

"The court's assurance of further action has given a ray of hope to the public. As soon as the final verdict comes, the construction of Ram temple will begin. It's the matter of faith for BJP and not of vote bank politics."

On asking, whether BJP will declare Godse a terrorist or not, Maurya said that BJP has never supported Godse and the party has always advocated the ideology of Mahatma Gandhi.
