New Delhi:With an aim to further strengthen their fight against terrorism, India and Bangladesh set for 7th Home Ministry level talks at North Block on Wednesday.
7th Home Ministry level talks at North Block between India and Bangladesh According to the sources, India will raise the issue of increasing fundamentalist activities along the eastern frontier with Bangladesh delegation.
Home Minister Amit Shah is expected to emphasise on the zero-tolerance attitude against terrorism
A 16 member Bangladesh delegation led by Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan is also likely to highlight the interest of their country.
Senior officials from MEA, IB, BSF among others were also present in the meeting.
According to the sources, bringing cross border terrorism to an end is one of the major issues both the countries will be emphasising.
This is the first meeting between Shah and Asaduzzaman in the second term of the Narendra Modi government.
Both the sides are also likely to release a joint statement after their meeting.
