New Delhi:Congress Rajya Sabha MP Dhiraj Sahu on Monday said that Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) Executive President, Hemant Soren will be the CM face for Jharkhand in the upcoming Assembly elections.
Speaking to ETV Bharat, Dhiraj Sahu said, " Earlier, since many parties are in grand alliance with Congress, it was decided that in the meeting the CM candidate will be elected. But, now Rahul Gandhi has declared Hemant Soren as the CM candidature for Jharkhand election."
He further said that Congress will play the role of the elder brother in the grand alliance in Jharkhand Assembly election due to be held in Jharkhand in November - December 2019 to elect the 81 members of Legislative Assembly.
When asked about the seat-sharing pacts, Dheeraj Sahu has said that when the election comes closer, every party has the desire to contest in many seats, but seats will be divided at the appropriate time.
