Shimla:Most parts of Himachal Pradesh are likely to receive heavy to very heavy rain on Monday and Tuesday, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
IMD Director Manmohan Singh said, "Most places in Himachal Pradesh recorded heavy rainfall. Dharamshala has recorded 67 mm of rainfall in last 24 hours. The state is likely to receive heavy to very heavy rainfall today and tomorrow."
He added, "The intensity of the rainfall will reduce by July 23. We have issued advisory and people should remain indoors. Places like Bilaspur, Chamba, Sirmour, Ameerpur, Kangra, Kullu may receive heavy downpour."
India Meteorological Department director Manmohan Singh. "The temperature may fall and visibility will be reduced. The water level of river may go up," he told reporters.
"People must park their cars in safe places. Also, they must keep a distance from the river and drains as water level increases during rains," he said. (ANI)
