Headless body of teenage boy found in Tamil Nadu

A headless body of a 21-year-old boy was found in Thoothukudi district of Tamil Nadu on Saturday. According to the family, Sathyamoorthi had left for a walk from his home at 7 PM on Friday with his friends after which he didn't come back.

Thoothukudi(Tamil Nadu): In a shocking incident, a headless body of a 21-year-old boy was found in Thoothukudi district of Tamil Nadu on Saturday, police said.

Sathyamoorthi, who was a resident of Thalaivanvadali village in Thoothukudi district, had left for a walk from his home at 7 PM on Friday with his friends.

However, when he didn't return for a long time his family went on a search for him.

Later, the family found Sathamoorthi's headless body drenched in a pool near the forest.

The district police immediately arrived at the spot and started searching for the deceased's head.

After three hours of the intense search didn't yield any result, the police postponed the plan and instead decided to send the body for postmortem.

Meanwhile, Thalaivanvadali villagers staged a protest proclaiming they won't allow taking the body until the head was found.

The deceased's head was found later some 400 meters away from the spot in the forest.

Further investigation into the matter is underway and a search for the other two boys is on.
