Important constituencies and candidates contesting from there:

Karnal
Karnal is one of the most high-profile seats in this election as Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar will be seeking re-election from here. His main opponent will be Congress candidate Tarlochan Singh, former chairman of the state minority commission. The JJP has made things interesting by fielding Tej Bahadur Yadav, the BSF jawan who had sought to contest against PM Modi in the Lok Sabha polls.

Kaithal
Kaithal, considered as the fortress of Randeep Singh Surjewala will witness the senior Congress leader seek a third successive term from here. The BJP has fielded Lila Ram Gujjar, who had won the Kaithal seat in 2000 as an INLD candidate.

Party wise candidates list

Ellenabad
Ellenabad, an SC reserved seat and considered the stronghold of the Chautalas, will see Abhay Singh Chautala, son of INLD chief Om Prakash Chautala, seek a third straight term from here. BJP has once again fielded Pawan Beniwal, who had come second behind Chautala in 2014.

Garhi-Sampla-Kiloi
Two-time Congress Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda will be seeking a third straight term from his stronghold of Garhi-Sampla-Kiloi. Up against him will once again be Satish Kumar Nandal, who had lost to him in the previous two occasions on an INLD ticket. This time, however, Nandal is contesting on a BJP ticket.

Adampur
In Adampur, the Congress has fielded Kuldeep Bishnoi, who had broken away from the party to float a new party with his father Bhajan Lal, a former CM, only to come back to the Congress again. He will be up against Tik Tok star Sonali Phogat, who will be trying to win BJP's first election in Adampur.

Dadri
In Dadri, a constituency known for throwing up extremely close fights, BJP has roped in Commonwealth gold medalist Babita Phogat who will battle it out against experienced politicians in the likes of Congress candidate Nirpender Singh, who had won from here in 2005, and JJP's Satpal Sangwan, who had won in 2009.

Baroda
Baroda is yet another constituency that will witness a Wrestling star on the electoral mat. BJP has fielded Olympic medalist Yogeshwar Dutt, who will be contesting against two-time sitting MLA Sri Krishan Hooda of the Congress.

Uchana-Klan
It will be a repeat of the 2014 contest in Uchana-Klan, as Dushyant Chautala, who had lost to BJP's Prem Lata last time, will face-off against her again. This time, however, Dushyant will be contesting for the JJP, which he had formed after being expelled from INLD.
