Panaji: Ailing Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar Monday inspected ongoing work on a parallel bridge on the Zuari river at Cortalim village near here, a day after he visited the Goa Medical College and Hospital for check-up.

Parrikar met Town and Country Planning Minister Vijai Sardesai at his private residence before moving out at around 2.30 pm, said an official from the Chief Minister's Office (CMO).

"The chief minister then went to inspect the parallel bridge on the Zuari river at Cortalim village," he said.

Meanwhile, Sardesai told reporters the chief minister has an exemplary will power.

Responding to a query, Sardesai ruled out the possibility of a leadership change in Goa, saying all allies in the BJP-led coalition are unanimous that Parrikar continue
as the CM.

He remained admitted in GMCH from February 23 to February 26, which was his latest stay in a medical care facility in the last one year.

The BJP leader has been in and out of hospitals in Goa, Mumbai, Delhi and the US.

On January 27 this year, Parrikar had turned up for the inauguration of the 5.1-km long cable-stayed bridge "Atal Setu" on the Mandovi river.

He had attended the budget session of Goa Assembly on January 29 and presented the state budget the next day with a tube inserted in his nasal cavity.
