New Delhi:National general secretary of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Arun Singh slammed former chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir and Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad on Monday over his statement about the reorganisation of the Article 370.
In an interview with ETV Bharat, Singh said that Azad doesn't want development in Kashmir that is why he is opposing the reorganisation of Article 370. It is one of the historic steps taken by the Modi government.
Singh further said that now school and colleges are reopened in Kashmir, internet service has been restored and landline phone services will also be restored soon. The situation is normal in Kashmir, but the Congress party is politicising the issue and seeking the votes. They don't want to develop Kashmir and bring Kashmiris into the mainstream.
Commenting on West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's statement, he said that she should take care of her state. He said that there are many cases in Bengal where many BJP workers were suppressed and she is doing politics on Kashmir issue.
