Kerala police begins probe in German woman missing case

The Kerala police began investigating the case of one Wiese Lisa, a German citizen, who went missing after she left the Thiruvananthapuram international airport on March 7. The 31-one-year-old had left Germany on March 5 along with another foreign national, who is believed to be a British citizen.

Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala):The Kerala Police on Sunday began probing the case of a missing German woman after her family approached the German consulate stating that they had not heard from her since she left Germany.

Wiese Lisa left Germany on March 5 and reached Thiruvananthapuram international airport on March 7. She was accompanied by another foreign national believed to be a British citizen.

Lisa's mother had sent a letter to the German consulate that her daughter's whereabouts were not known since she left Germany on March 5. Subsequently, the consulate sent a complaint to the Kerala police chief.

Pradeep, a Sub Inspector of Police at the Valiyathura police station said that the police have registered a case and have begun their probe.

According to the 31-year-old's disclosure in the arrival form, she was to head to the ashram of 'hugging saint' Amrithananda Mayi near Kollam, about 80 km from Thiruvananthapuram.

But the police probe revealed that she did not reach the Ashram and was last seen leaving the airport on a two-wheeler.
