Four killed, 10 critical as tractor skids off road in Karnataka

In a tragic incident, as many as four people were killed while over 10 others were critically injured after a tractor met with a road mishap in Karnataka's Bellary district. Police personnel reached the spot and sent the bodies for post-mortem.

Bellary: As many as four people were killed while over 10 others were critically injured after a tractor met with a road mishap in Holalu village of Huvina Hadagali police limits in Karnataka's Bellary district on Thursday.

The identities of the deceased persons are yet to be ascertained.

According to sources, the incident took place at around 5 pm near Giriyapur area when the tractor collided with the unknown vehicle. Following which, the tractor skidded off the road and turned turtle. While as many as four persons died on the spot, other 10 persons sustained grievous injuries in the mishap.

Soon the victims were rescued and rushed to a nearby by hospital by the locals. On being informed, Huvina Hadagali station's CPI Malatesh Kunabevu along with other police personnel reached the spot and sent the bodies for post-mortem, added sources.

Reportedly, the injured have been admitted to the hospital, where doctors stated their health condition to be critical, sources further added.
