Coimbatore:Be it sorrow or joy, music makes us relaxed. In that sense, S P Balasubrahmanyam has a sacred position in people's heart. Mostly, SPB's songs attune to the beauty of nature. Remarkably, he had said that COVID-19 is the price which we pay for abusing the earth while taking part in his last show.
He also asked music lovers to engage themselves in the activities conserving the environment and stop the practises that harm Mother Nature.
Trees which would swing with SPB's music
In respect and adoration for the playback singer, Siruthuli Organization, in collaboration with Perur Chettipalayam village panchayat, has set up a forest for SPB at Pachapalayam in Officers’ Colony premises in Coimbatore. 74 tree saplings were planted to commemorate his 74 years of life.
Interestingly, tree species used to make musical instruments are planted. The trees are planted in the shape of the musical note. In addition, tree symbolic of his birth star Ayilyam is also planted.
