New Delhi: Congress, on Wednesday, alleged BJP-led Uttar Pradesh Government for doing "petty politics" over the matter of 1000 buses, arranged by the former to ferry migrant workers, claiming that the state government leaked details of these buses to media, rather than informing them about the faults.
Congress Legislature Party Leader of UP, Aradhana Mishra said, "The Secretaries, as well as Deputy Chief Minister of BJP government, had lied constantly. We had sent the details of all these buses to them as per their request. If their intention was right, then they would've informed us about the faults in those details, rather than posting the details on social media or leaking it to the press. They have still not sent the list of vehicles after checking. Priyanka Gandhi had already said that if there is any fault in the number of buses then we are ready to send 200 more buses."
"I accuse the BJP Government deliberately for sabotaging the use of these buses for migrant labourers. There is no sensitivity left in this government. CM Yogi Adityanath has cheated the people of his state," she added.
While addressing the press conference, Congress spokesperson, Supriya Shrinate said, "I am pained with such kind of petty politics playing out since the last four days. Had those buses been allowed to run, 92000 poor migrant labourers would have reached their homes by now. Do they not see the agony and suffering of these people?"
