Chandigarh: Sanyukt Kisan Morcha, a joint forum of farmers' organisations, protesting at the Delhi borders against the Centre's farm laws on Monday suspended Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) leader Gurnam Singh Chaduni for allegedly being in contact with political parties.
Chaduni had allegedly met Congress and Aam Aadmi Party leaders recently.
The suspension means Chaduni will not be part of the team of farm leaders scheduled to hold the tenth round of talks with the government on January 19.
The Kisan Morcha has reportedly constituted a five-member committee, and Chaduni will be required to present his defence before the committee.
With Chaduni's alleged political links under the scanner, the Sanyukt Kisan Morcha seeks to distance itself from the farm leader.

Chaduni has been accused of being in constant touch with Congress leaders and was allegedly setting up a meeting with the party.
According to reports, Chaduni was to hold a Kisan Sansad (Farmers' Parliament) on January 22-23, and was to invite Congress and AAP leaders who opposed the contentious farm laws.
Further, Chaduni had reportedly not sought permission for the farmers' parliament from the Sanyukt Kisan Morcha.
